Dr Iduh Augustine Andrew

Consultant ENT, Head & Neck Surgeon

My journey with OCMMI began after a life-changing encounter with Christ during my
NYSC year in Bauchi State. I survived a ghastly motor accident—an experience that
deepened my calling to serve. Since 2020, I’ve volunteered with OCMMI during my
annual leave, even while training as a resident at Jos University Teaching Hospital.
Some of the most impactful moments of my career have come through this mission.
I’ve performed complex head and neck surgeries, often navigating critical structures
around major neck vessels. One case that stands out is a 16-year-old boy with a
large nasal tumour (rhinophyma) who was ridiculed and socially isolated. Restoring
his face—and his dignity—was deeply moving.
OCMMI is a God-given vision. I believe more specialists can and should answer this
call to serve the medically underserved. In doing so, we don’t just heal bodies—we
restore lives.
“God is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” – Heb. 11:6
